The flagship drama returns, detailing royal life in the early to mid 1990's.

Tim Burton's first television series tells a prequel tale of the infamous Addams Family daughter.
Wednesday (Season 1)
Burton fanatics rejoice! The visionary filmmaker Tim Burton finally unveils his first ever series made for television, and is it really any surprise that this is it? The Addams Family is right up Burton's alley, and the cast of Wednesday is sure to make this a must-see show for fans everywhere. Jenna Ortega is Wednesday Addams in this horror comedy series based on the classic series and more recent hit movies. Everyone knows The Addams Family, and now we get to see more stories of the supernatural family. The first season details Wednesday's days as a high school student at Nevermore Academy where she attempts to master her psychic powers, stop a monstrous killer on the loose, and solve the mystery that affected her family 25 years ago.
I cannot wait for this. Growing up, I was a massive fan of both movies, as well as the classic television show that I'd watch endlessly, along with the Munsters. It seems that the casting here, with Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia and Luis Guzman as Gomez, is perfect. I can't wait to see everyone else, from Lurch, to Puglsey, to (hopefully) Cousin Itt! The Addams Family has always been the perfect match of horror and gothic tales, with a healthy dose of comedy and over-the-top camp and I'm sure Wednesday will keep that going. Look for the entire 8 episode first season when it drops on November 23!
What I'm Watching Now
The Midnight Club (Season 1)
If you're a horror/thriller fan like me, and haven't watched The Midnight Club already...what are you waiting for? From the talented Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass), this new series is based on the young adult novels from Christopher Pike. A group of terminally ill young adults reside in a hospice, meeting every night at midnight to tell each other scary stories. One night they make a pact with each other that the first to succumb to their illness has an oath to communicate with the remaining members from beyond the grave. When one does die, the horrifying and bizarre occurrences begin.
That trailer definitely gives you the vibe that this series is about, but doesn't even begin to scratch the surface in terms of how many times you'll be scared to the point you're hiding under the nearest blanket or pillow. Jump scares galore, everyone...but not at the mercy of giving up a fantastic story. The cast and writing here does well to deliver that slow-burn dread that Flanagan's series are known for. From the creepy setting to the amazing cliffhangers (especially the end of the final episode!) you can definitely keep the Halloween season alive by checking this show out. The entire first season is streaming now on Netflix...hope you're not afraid of ghosts!
