Without notice increased my bill to $160 post 2 year contract

Hey everyone,

As the tittle suggest, after 2 years of always paying on time etc etc, no notice, no nothing direct $160 bill. I am so disappointed in this company.

I am filling a CCTS complain today. Wanted to know how many others have had to deal with such a situation.

Hi farhan23 - As Rocky3 mentioned, this sounds like your discounts ended after a two-year service agreement.

If you load up your My TELUS account, you will see your discounts show up like this on the billing section:

If you load up your full bill, they will show up like this:

We notify you of when the discounts start and when they end for your convenience.

We can do our best to assist you in renewing your service agreement if you're open to that

  • Renew if that is your plan and maybe they will make the increase go away.

  • Have you read your contract two years ago or recently?

For 2 years you were getting discounts which expired.

No discounts you get to pay the full bill.

I understand that however, to send your customer a reminder before their price goes up 70% is the only reasonable thing to do. I am supposed to pay $160 just because I didn't make a phone call to renew? which they actually want you to do anyway? It's a practise designed to pressure you to sign another contract.
