WARNING! Phone Upgrade Scam involving fake TELUS Mobility rep
I have recently fallen victim to a sophisticated scam in which someone misrepresenting themself as a TELUS Mobility rep convinced me to "switch" from Koodo (where I am a current subscriber) to TELUS ...
While I'm sad you had to go thru this, I am also glad that you took the time to post what happened to you as I too just received a (it sounds too good to be true) offer from someone claiming to be someone working on behalf of Telus.
They did send me an email with the details of the offer and they were very careful to state that I should only call or reply to the email / phone number they provided.
Needless to say, I won't be returning their cold call.
