Upgrade phone but keep current plan
I have 5 lines with telus across my family. One of the lines wants a new phone (currently doesn’t have any device financing on it, just BYOD). Is it possible to get a new device and keep the plan? It’s a winback plan with family discounts.

Since the phone currently is on a BYOD plan, it is best to keep it that way, and simply buy a phone outright. If you seek a subsidized phone, you will need to change plans, which may not be financially beneficial in your instance. Have a look at the cost options either way and decide.
