Switching line to prepaid

I have an EPP account with Telus with 4 lines attached. One line belongs to my daughter who is currently overseas. In order to keep her phone number (but not pay the monthly plan bill) I wanted to switch her line to a Telus prepaid account. I spoke to 12 agents at Telus. None could assist me. I kept being bounced around from corporate to prepaid, back to corporate. Has anyone done this successfully or is the only option to cancel her phone plan completely?

  • I was able to get this done finally, thanks to a lovely Telus agent who knew what she was doing. I had to create a new account for the prepaid line, the phone number was switched over to that line and I paid for a year upfront. Hope this helps someone else in the same situation.
