5G Standard - is USA text extra
Sorry for this lame question but getting details on my Telus page is a bit of a challenge. My plan states “Nationwide data, talk and text” - am I to assume USA text is extra and I need to add the optional add on for that?

Not a lame question at all. On a standard Nationwide Talk and Text plan, texting to the U.S. is typically not included. If you send a text from Canada to a U.S. number on this plan, you'll likely see the $0.40 charge per message. Always note however, receiving texts from the U.S. to you won't be charged.
Our Unlimited International Messaging or Canada-U.S. plans are what you'd be looking for if you'd like to get those messages covered!
