Re: Telus Connect app Boost devices not displayed
I've tried everything... Reboots, factory resets, logging in/out of the app, reinstalling the app, calling Support. I'm giving up. I was able to set my SSID/password via the webgui on the boost 2.0 thankfully, otherwise I'd be hooped. Nice speeds on the wifi equipment vs the eero 7's I had, but after getting used to the eero app TELUS Connect is a shock.47Views0likes2CommentsRe: Telus Connect app Boost devices not displayed
I had my NAH in bridge mode since March, but did a factory reset and re-installed my Boost 2.0 a few weeks ago. For the life of me I can't get my Boost 2.0 to show up in the app. I had Wifi+ installed yesterday and the new Boost 2.0 Lite only shows up in the "devices" category. Would another factory reset of the NAH resolve this? It's incredibly frustrating, I've been on the phone with support 3 times for this, but all they can do is create an escalation and I never hear anything back after that.63Views0likes2Comments- 103Views0likes0Comments
Wifi-Plus vs Eero 7
Hoping to get some opinions here on what the better setup here is. I've had Wifi plus since I got TELUS internet 2 years ago. It's ok, but lately I've had issues where the devices connected to my secondary AP (an Airties device) just drop, and it takes a reboot or a factory reset to get it back. I ordered an Eero 7 2-pack from Amazon which is arriving later today. I also called TELUS support on Monday night, and they're sending me a replacement AP for the Airties (a second Boost 2.0), which presumably should resolve the issue of devices dropping. They also scheduled a call with an App Engineer to look at my TELUS Connect app, which says my wifi devices are connected to "Ethernet" no matter they're connected to. It also shows my secondary AP (the airties) as just another device on the network, and not an AP like the Boost 2.0. I figured this was the easier solution, getting TELUS to fix the issues, as well as the cheapest. The Eero 7 is $350 which is steep, but wifi-plus is $10/month, so I've already put $240 into it. Having the Eero app is very appealing to me as I love having full visibility into my network, and anyone who's used TELUS Connect will know it's not very good... So do I bite the bullet and keep the Eero, or give TELUS another change with Wifi-plus? The Boost 2.0 is supposed to be on the way, but they said 3-5 business days I haven't gotten any shipping notices.700Views0likes3CommentsTELUS Connect app not showing booster or proper connection information
I've been with TELUS for almost 2 years, and I have the NAH + Boost 2.0 + Airties AP (Wifi plus). On the TELUS connect app I do not see the Airties AP, and every device connected to my network shows up as connected via Ethernet, even when it's on Wifi. Does anyone else have this issue? I've reported it in the past but nothing has come of it. I've considered moving to an Eero 6+ system but I don't want to spend the money.Solved1.5KViews0likes1CommentRe: NH20T Network Access Hub - Bridge Mode
Custom setups like bridging a modem and adding a 3rd party router can make troubleshooting for techs much more difficult. This is my guess anyways, as I can't think of any reason why bridging a modem would cause an issue on their end. At first I thought the multiple IP's was incorrect, but after thinking on it that actually makes sense. If you bridge only LAN 1 and your Eero picks up the first public IP, the other ports (IE LAN 2) would grab a second public IP if you plugged something into it. Years ago TELUS would give up to two public IP's per account, not sure if that's changed.3.9KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Bridge mode and optik on Telus Wifi Hub
Do you have the old Arris Optik boxes or the new Android ones? Bridge mode works fine with the new Android boxes since they’re pure OTA, but the Arris boxes need to be on a non bridged connection. This is where the port selection in the NAH comes into play. Bridge LAN port 1 only, and connect your 3rd party router to it. Use LAN 2 to connect to the arris boxes, or the Boost AP if you’re connecting over wifi.2.5KViews1like1Comment
