Re: Can't Fast Forward Recorded Program
Hi 604yvr 604yvr778 The team has fixed the configuration of CBC Calgary; you should now be able to fast forward recordings on this channel. buckycat - yes, it was platform related; the legacy box is on a different back-end platform and was unaffected. Thanks for your patience37Views2likes1CommentRe: Can't Fast Forward Recorded Program
Hi 604yvr 604yvr778 buckycat the team is looking into this. I can confirm that FFW is currently blocked on CBC Calgary (at least for folks in Vancouver). We are aiming to reconfigure this shortly. In the meantime, you CAN ffw on CBC Edmonton recordings...52Views0likes3CommentsRe: Delete Resume from Your Apps
The TL;DR version is that this row is a complicated partnership between 6+ companies; streaming services, Google and TELUS. The team is looking into a 'remove' action but for now, you can do this remove action within an individual app (Prime Video, for example) and it reflects on the TELUS box after a restart/reboot/power cycle/new session (NOT a factory reset). 'Resume from your Apps' is a row that leverages a Google-specific API (also called 'Continue Watching' on Google TV devices). What this means is that it pulls bookmarks from Disney+, Apple TV and Prime Video (and Netflix, if your device is running Android TV 14). IF you watch something from one of these apps on a TELUS set-top box (or Google/Android device), the API generally remembers where you left off across devices. The refresh timing and appearance behaviour is determined by Google and varies by service, and the TELUS box simply acts as a pass-through. So when you watch something from Disney+, for example, you are in Disney's app, in their ecosystem, and TELUS has very little control of what they communicate to Google. I have found that Prime Video and Netflix are the most predictable, whereas Apple and Disney vary a little bit more. That said, the team is investigating how we can implement press and hold actions on more rows on the Home page and if it is possible to do, we will endeavour to implement it on 'Resume from your apps'. You are able to go into the individual apps and remove items from continue watching, and this then reflects on the 'Resume from your apps' on the TELUS set-top box.29Views1like0CommentsRe: TELUS TV+ now available on Smart TVs
Any Samsung from 2021 or newer that's running Tizen 6 or above is compatible; the actual list of model numbers is in the hundreds. U8200F is 2025 Tizen 9, so will be good to go. We're hoping for a lot faster than 'eventually', but yes we are working on it. Normally when Samsung releases a new model, they do compatibility testing on their end and update availability in their store automatically. For some reason, that didn't happen this time.20Views1like0CommentsRe: TELUS TV+ now available on Smart TVs
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Samsung (and other TV providers) are constantly releasing new models, so the team is updating the lists of compatible models with Samsung's app store as it looks like U8200F was not on the list. I will reply here when there's anything to share.104Views0likes2CommentsRe: SOUND
Thanks for the detail; you'd mentioned earlier that you have a Sony and a LG, so I didn't feel the need to re-ask 😁. The fact you see it on different TVs from different manufacturers from different years running different operating systems (and so Rocky sees it to) indicates it's something on our end or the broadcasters end. You can ask google assistant what volume you're set to (i think my exact prompt was "what's my volume set to?").22Views0likes2CommentsRe: SOUND
Rocky3 Grimmt Can you help us out with some details a bit to try and get to the bottom of it? can you confirm set-top box make/model (TELUSTV-21T or TELUSTV-24S, other)? is it across all channels? do you have your set-top box volume set to 15 (ask google assistant to 'set volume to max')? Are you using anything other than set-top box to tv and using TV speakers? Any sound settings you've changed on your TV?47Views0likes5CommentsRe: NHL Centre Ice Black Outs
Thanks. Restart definitely defaults to TSN, which is geo-restricted. And did you record on the NHL Centre Ice Channel(s)? Or did it record on TSN by default/accident? (You can see this detail under the program recording of the individual game). To change which channel is recorded, you can go into to the scheduled recording and click 'Edit'20Views0likes0CommentsRe: NHL Centre Ice Black Outs
Hi Bri78 Were you trying to watch the games live or were you restarting them from the beginning after they'd already started? Rogers has not allowed games on NHL Centre Ice to be restarted, so if you try to restart them, you'd be directed to TSN which has regional blackouts. If you were tuning in live, you should be directed to the NHL Centre Ice channel. Let us know!28Views0likes0CommentsRe: Telus TV app on Apple TV
Can you describe what happens when a recording ends? Does the app crash? And are you running the latest version of the TELUS TV+ app (2.25.0 (988))? And have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app? There is absolutely no technical reason you should have to unplug something like an HDMI cable; a power cycle should resolve anything like a system crash. Before doing that though, I'd recommend force-quitting the app (double click on the button with the TV icon on your Apple TV remote and swipe up on the touchpad/dPad with the TELUS TV+ app in focus). In any event, I just tested on my Apple TV 4K gen 2 (model A2169) running tvOS 26.1 and here's what I see (working as expected): After a recording ends and there isn't another one in the series to binge watch, I am returned to the Recordings Manager episode list. From here, if I press the back button once, I go to the Series list, and back a 2nd time, I go to the Recordings tab in the main menu. One press left on the dPad takes me to Guide. If I am actively watching a recording and press the back button, I end up back to the Recordings Manager series episode list. Navigation back to Guide is identical to the above.35Views0likes1Comment
