Can I cast my own photos and vids thru the Telus TV Digital Box
Just set up my new Telus TV Digital Box which seems to be working fine ... I see I can cast Telus material thru the Telus TV+ app ... however is there a way of casting my own videos off my android phone to my tv via the Telus TV Digital Box? Just received my new TV Digital Box as upgraded equipment. Two questions ... 1) Can I somehow transfer the recorded programs from my DVR to the new cloud based system? I have just had the new round dome type modem installed ... and now my WiFi B-Hyve Irrigation Timer will not connect to it. Research seems to indicate that the B-Hyve will only use a 2.4g signal ... and I believe the new Telus modem does not do that by default. My question ... how do I get the telus modem to broadcast a separate 2.4g channel that I can connect this device to? Currently I have the 4 year old Telus DVR Box where the programs are recoded locally and I can skip thru the commercials during playback ... I just renewed my contract and was sent the newest TV Digital Box ... some of the features look good however since it now stores everything in the cloud I am wondering if you are now forced to watch the commercials like Telus forces you to do on a Restart of a show in progress (skip is disabled) ...
