TSN Formula 1 listing issue
I am not sure if this is a Telus issue or TSN. The listings for Formula One events are often incorrect and makes it difficult to find the events and scheduled series recordings don't work due to the mismatch. For example, today's sprint race from Miami was hiding under the listing "Formula 1 sprint race Preshow" and the Qualifying was listed as "Formula 1 Pre Qualifying". Both of these shows were the actual events, not pre-shows. Neither of them matched the "Formula 1 Racing" Series I have programed so they did not auto record. I did notice the problem and manuall set up timers, but I have missed events before due to this issue. On a side note, I am quite happy tomorrow's race is on ABC so it will not be interrupted by TSN's forced commercial breaks. Why TSN insists on pushing commercials on a paid channel is beyond me, the feed from SKY TV is uninterupted. Only TSN puts in their own commercials. The On the Roam - Max Original series with Jason Mamoa is incomplete on Telus On Demand. The series has completely aired and all 8 episodes should be availalbe. Currently there are only 4 episodes available and 2 of them are mislabelled. The title and descriptions do not match the episode that plays. Please correct and complete. I can stream them Crave, but that is true for any of their programming. I tried removing my Telus gmail account and, as suspected, it removed it from the Gmail app as well. I turned account notifications off for my Telus Google account, so it can keep trying to sign-in all it wants. Google updated their sign-in pages a couple days ago. Now my Chromebook is constantly trying to sign-in to Drive and Docs on my Telus Google account. Telus email uses the Gmail platform but they have all other Goolge services turned off (Maps, Drive, Docs etc.) This was not an issue prior to the update. Does anyone know how I stop Google from tryiing to sign me into these blocked apps? I have 2 Google accounts and am not having any issues signing into my non-Telus Google services. I struggled with this as well, but figured it out somehow. I am not sure if I can explain it well enough, but instead of creating a TMP google account as done in the steps you found, I created a whole new google account for myself. Then, most impoortantly, I made it my default google account. I used a non-gmail or telus domain email (I used an Icloud address). Then I signed in to the google suite with my default account rather than telus.net. This allows me to use my telus.net google account on Gmail only, all other Google services are linked to my personal google acount that I administer instead of Google. When I am on the Gmail page, the telus logo shows in the top right corner account info. I can't remember if I had to manually toggle this myself the first time, or it came up automatically. But when I am on any other Google site, like maps, my personal account shows with no telus logo. And the bonus of having your own default Google account is Telus can't mess it up on you if they make future changes with untested and unintended consequences.3.7KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Phishing
Ralph I got this email too and was suspicious. However, I think it is legit. I went to my Telus rewards account directly (did not click on the email), and found the points balance listed on the email matched my balance. And the free entry was noted there as well. The email had my correct name and a verifiable account item (balance), both usually do not appear on a phishing email. No need to do anything from the email, I just deleted it.
