few months ago my parents received home security camera then later on they received phone call from Telus asked my dad if he needs a technician to set it up. They never asked for sending the camera. They already have their own home security cameras, so He refused it. after while another phone call to my parents house and asked my dad why he is not using camera and kept asking if he needs a help to set it up and did not mention how much it will cost to use and the period of contract. So my dad assumed it is a free of use and set it up by himself. month later, when He received a bill from Telus He called Telus to cancel the service because He never expected to pay anything. and guy from Telus said cancelation fee will be like $800 because contract is until 2026. He phoned the support and they kept transfer his call from one to another department and wasted 3 hours for nothing. Can someone help for this case?
