This is long overdue, as I've had the doorbell camera for almost 2 years now (felt almost bullied into it when we last negotiated service rates). Anyway, the doorbell camera is very inconsistent in what it records.
When we first got it we had multiple recordings of absolutely no obvious movement, and believe me I zoomed in and poured over those videos to try and figure out what was triggering the camera. Once I noticed a tiny bit of a tag on something just out of camera range pop into the recording. But cars driving by (slowly in a gated community) was hit and miss on being recorded. I tried lowering the sensitivity to stop all the useless stuff, and then hardly anything triggered it, including walking right up to the door. So I bumped the sensitivity back up again. I wanted to be able to monitor, to some extent, the vehicles passing by my door.
Well, it's right back to lots of recordings of no obvious motion, but movement that should be triggering the camera, like my car (always visible in the camera range) backing out of the driveway and past my house never shows, and most recently a 35' motorhome drove past - on the side of the street closest to my house - and NOTHING on the camera. I spend almost as much time deleting useless videos as the camera spends recording them. It doesn't bode well for wanting to continue when the contract term is up.
