Pik media box replacement

I recently received notice that Telus is replacing its Pik media box with an upgraded model. However, I have two boxes. Does this mean I have to purchase a second box to replace the box I bought a couple of years ago?

PikTV is meant to be a single point of service; Telus offers Optik for those wanting multiple TV connections. My expectation is you will need to purchase a second box if you want to maintain your current situation.

Thanks, I appreciate the answer, although it pretty well confirms my suspicion. Another $100 out the door.
