Audio goes silent or HT volume can’t be changed by Telus remote

Both of these issues are intermittent. One is that the Telus remote only sometimes controls the volume of my HT amp. The other issue is that the volume disappears completely and I can only regain sound of I pull the power cord from the box. This eventually restores volume but it’s a long reboot process.

Anyone dealing with similar issues?

The issue with the remote sounds strange. Is it possibly a line of sight issue and somehow the remote was blocked from the box by something?


Are you using stereo or 5.1 for sound? I've had issues with no sound and 5.1 surround. Switching to stereo cleared up my issues. You might also try toggling between one and the other as it's faster than restarting the box.
