Be aware of a possible fraud or misrepresentation being conducted by some individuals claiming to be Telus employees. They may be contractors, or special promotion reps, or simply employees who are deliberately misrepresenting Telus.
Regardless, my suggestion is to NOT do business with these individuals as they are not honest about what they are offering, and the packages / options they claim a customer is in a position to receive are, in fact, extreme misrepresentations of what is actually available. In addition, these individuals do not provide proper explanations of all the costs associated with the offerings, nor provide options or proper email communications.
They are, in my opinion, rip-off artists who are causing Telus and their customers extreme frustration, with the intent of increasing their commissions or sales bonuses at the expense of others.
I will not go into detail as to my own frustration and anger. Suffice it to say that after many hours on the phone, with some very helpful people, and visits to several Telus stores, I succeeded in returning the device and cancelling the account.
For everyone’s information, should they get a phone call from either Brian at 778-719-3836 or Andrew at 778-503-0472, do not deal with them. Better yet, don’t answer. These phone numbers will display as “UNKNOWN” and are not toll free.
