I set-up pre-authorized payments and Telus has not taken payment

I set-up auto payments around Nov 20th and the payment was supposed to come out automatically on December 3rd.  As of today's date (Dec 7th) it still shows as payment outstanding.  What gives?  I don't want to get hit with late fees.  Should I just go ahead and pay it or will it still come out and then I end up paying it twice?

OK - I gave up.  I paid the bill today as it still hadn't come out.  I don't know why they bother to have auto-pay if they aren't going to deduct it from your account.  I better not get charged a late fee for this.  Sheesh!  How hard is it to set up electronic payments and then actually act on it?  It defnitely shows me as having auto-pay set up and linked to my bank account so I have no idea what's going on.

It is not hard to set it up, but miss a digit or reverse the transit and bank code and it will not work with bank account.

With credit card like amex the CCV code is on the front and the one in the bank like other cards does not work.

Yup - I double checked it and it is properly linked to my chequing account - so I don't know.  It's a mystery to me.

Hi @SeniorRunnerG - Since you set up those payments mid-cycle, they won't take effect until your next cycle so making a one-time payment was the right move there. Next cycle should automatically come out from your bank account
