I think I just got scammed by Telus. They called me offering me a Canada US Mexico 200gb Data Plan at a steep discount - matching my current rate/plan with Rogers plus offering me a home phone credit. I finally got the SIM card and when I activated it I was on the 5G+ Essential plan. No US/Mexico data. The sales rep (Omar Rafer) was so convincing and assured me so well. I recorded the phone call too.
I'm going to call Telus today and see if they can do anything. Just a warning to others - Telus will scam you to switch. If I can't get the deal I'll switch back to Rogers and hopefully they'll give me my old plan back. I'm thinking about releasing the shared call on socials too to help others steer away but first I will see how calling in goes.
