Cant get a device with current plan

Hi All,

I just recently joined Telus after porting my Koodo# to another company and got a better offer here. I didn't get a device at the time because my current device is fairly new (Pixel 5). Wanted to see what prices were like for the S21 because I was just curious. But when I try to add it to my account i get the following message:

 

Your selected offer is not available with this device. Please choose another offer to proceed.

 

Does this mean I won't be able to get a device online/in-store.

 

Again, not in a huge rush, and I know I can get Samsung devices from the Samsung store with financing. I am just curious.
