Can I use the ethernet port on the back of either my 4K wireless set top box or my Telus wifi booster to essentially hardwire a device to it?

You can with the Boost devices, but not the PVR.

Is there more to it than just plugging an ethernet cord into the booster and then into my laptop? I tried this after I turned off the wifi on my laptop but I don't get an internet connection. My booster says that it has a good connection.

When I tried it some years ago, that was al I did. Possibly newer updates have removed that ability, but I didn't think so.

Hi, I have a similar issue. When I hardwire my laptop to one of Telus boosters, it works very nicely for a few minutes and after that, the booster LED turns red and my laptop switches to the modem wi-fi signal. Any idea?
