Fibre Internet keeps slowing down

I am paying for 1G fibre Internet. Issue I'm having is that it starts at the correct speed, and a day later will slow down giving me only 90 - 120 Mbps on all my devices, both on wifi or when directly plugged into the wifi hub. I use fast.com and telus own connect app with very similar speed results.

Telus equipment - Fibre Modem, and wifi 6 hub.

My devices - Laptop, desktop & pixel phone. All 3 devices measure speeds similarly for wifi both when the network is working as expected and when slowed down.

Other devices on my network - some google home speakers and a smart TV.

For reference, when things work, I measure ~500 - 650 mpbs on wifi, and ~940 mpbs on desktop if I plug it into the wifi hub. This ever only lasts 1-2 days before slowing down, sometimes only a few hours or minutes.

I have called Telus multiple times and they get me to do the same thing every time (which after so many times I've already done and tried), manually reset my modem, unplug my hub and wait, reset the network on their end etc etc. Eventually it would appear things work - but again this is short lived.

I've tried changing my hub's ethernet cable to my own in case it's broken, and that has not changed anything.

Anyone know why this is happening? It's very frustrating that I'm paying for speeds I'm not getting

OK Seems I found something.

While looking through the connected devices on the wifi hub's admin settings (not the modem) - I noticed that all my devices were choosing the 2.4 GHz channel - Googled the cap on 2.4 GHz and what would you know... It's around 100 mbps.

So I simply turned off the 2.4 GHz band, and BOOM - immediately everything is working at the expected speed.

Will report back if this doesn't end up working in the long run.
