Hello,
Could someone confirm if port 80 and 443 are still blocked for incoming traffic? I chatted with Telus back in January 2020 before I signed up to their service and they said:
"...I appreciate your patience. I have checked our system already. Port 80 and 443 are no longer blocked."
Could someone confirm that is true? Thanks.

Conflicting reports on this. Even Telus can't seem to get their story straight:
Not Blocked - https://www.telus.com/en/bc/support/article/telus-hsia-security-measures-policy
From the forums:
I'm on Internet 75 and have a NAS that I need external access to. I opted to use port 8080 as I was unable to get it to work with port 80. I set this up a few years back so I'm not sure if port 80 now works or not.
There is some ramblings that if you have a dynamic IP the ports are blocked but if you have a static IP they are not. I can neither confirm or deny.

As of February 24 2020, after a lot of testing and finding answers to why things do not work as intended, I can say that port 80 and 443 are not blocked from the outside or inside. The Telus NAT router with its "loopback" removed will however prevent you from accessing the web server from within using its public IP address. The public IP address works fine if accessed from the outside. Use the internal LAN IP address of the web server during development instead or tweak the DNS within the router to resolve the loopback problem.

Hi, have you a static or dynamic address from Telus?
I have a dynamic address and still have my 80 and 443 blocked.
thx

I believe Ports 80 and 443 are blocked for all non-business Telus accounts.
