Re: Telus PureFiber - Are ports 80 and 443 still blocked?
As of February 24 2020, after a lot of testing and finding answers to why things do not work as intended, I can say that port 80 and 443 are not blocked from the outside or inside. The Telus NAT router with its "loopback" removed will however prevent you from accessing the web server from within using its public IP address. The public IP address works fine if accessed from the outside. Use the internal LAN IP address of the web server during development instead or tweak the DNS within the router to resolve the loopback problem.11KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Cannot ping my Telus T3200M modem/router from outside.
Thanks for confirming. Don't know the reasoning behind that restriction. We should be allowed to ping ourselves. The T3200M must have some serious issues with loopback I guess. I guess this is the reason why we cannot access our web server by using the public IP address from within our Telus router's network also. Some DNS tweaks did the trick for now, but what in the world...9.7KViews0likes3CommentsCannot ping my Telus T3200M modem/router from outside.
Hello, I am on Telus PureFiber. I can't seem to be able to ping he public IP address it is under. I played around with various settings in the router's admin page with no luck. There is no third party router connected and I am currently connected wireless to the Telus router. Lets assume I id a factory reset on the T34200M, which setting(s) would need to be hanged in order for the ping to work?Solved9.9KViews0likes8CommentsTelus PureFiber - Are ports 80 and 443 still blocked?
Hello, Could someone confirm if port 80 and 443 are still blocked for incoming traffic? I chatted with Telus back in January 2020 before I signed up to their service and they said: "...I appreciate your patience. I have checked our system already. Port 80 and 443 are no longer blocked." Could someone confirm that is true? Thanks.Solved11KViews0likes4Comments
