Telus Account Loyalty Scam?

Couve19
Just Moved In

I received a call this morning from (778) 262-2077; the Caller ID said "TELUS LOYALTY". The man on the phone, who identified himself as Nadeem, knew the details of my internet plan with Telus, such as the plan type and my monthly fees. He offered me a bundle promotion whereby he could discount my internet plan since I also have a mobility plan with Telus. He asked for my phone number, which I gave him (he noted it was the same number he called me on). I also gave him my mobility account number. He offered me an Optik TV bundled with higher speed internet for $120/month. He said I would receive a call later from the team who would come to my apartment to install the TV box. I asked that he email me to confirm the details of my new plan. Once I received the email, I became suspicious. The email was a @teluspartner.ca address, and didn't look very professional. Additionally, his signature says he's located in Calgary, though 778 is a BC area code. He already knew my email address, and in his email to me, he stated my home address (which I did not give him).

This is a scam right? What are they trying to get at, since they didn't ask for any payment information? And is there anything I should do at this point?

Thanks!

I'd consider it 100% a scam. Not a Telus phone number. Not a Telus email address. You may want to reach out to Telus directly to discuss the security of your account and possibly to add a password for when someone calls in about your account to try make changes.
