Swap of Modem

I had a problem with my modem and called customer service for the swap. Originally I had a new white NAH modem that are installed in pure fiber areas, it had issues and had to request a replacement.  Unfortunately they brought an old modem for copper wires in pure fiber area, black modem T3200M.  I rejected that and waiting for a technician to come to replace the modem; he came with again with the black modem T3200M that is supposed to be obsolete.

Called the Customer service on December 9, 2024 and they indicated it had already been shipped. Today December 19, 2024 is the 14 day I have not received the white NAH modem.  Called the customer service she has indicated that they white modems are not shipped a technician has to come; why the previous customer service did not know this?

Calling TELUS to talk someone it takes more than an hour up to 1.5 hours; I have already called 4 times, it means 6 hours wasted on the phone the the problem not resolved. Is TELUS serious in the business?

The T3200 is still usable with fibre and it has a fibre port on the back of it also. I have one that I use for my gigabit fibre and it works fine, especially over ethernet. Many actually prefer the T3200, especially if they use smart devices that only want a 2.4GHz wifi network. The T3200 since it can split the wifi into separate 2.4 and 5GHz networks.

I have the T3200M and only use the wifi as a backup or smart devices that only use 2.4 band.  And use 2 x Boosters v1 for the main wifi.

I disagree with the answer as an excuse to Telus. They have to deliver the modem they indicated they will deliver for pure Fibre areas.

There are three gateways that are in use for fibre service. The T3200, the Home Wifi Hub, and the NAH. All three a full fibre gateways. The T3200 is probably the most commonly used gateway for those with fibre speeds of 1gbps or less. So if the tech is bringing a T3200 when you demand someone shows up at your home, that gateway is still fully usable.

What about the T3200M?
