Is it possible to connect  a different modem to my fiber terminal and still get my telus connection?

Yes is is... Research placing your ONT router/firewall into what is known as bridged mode. That allows the device to pass the raw TELUS incoming signal to an aftermarket Router/Firewall that is capable of feed the signal to your network.

@Ahsan041  I could be wrong but if you have optic tv some modems won't work for the optic stream. Research
