May is here already, friends! There's nothing better than kicking back after a great day and checking out that new movie your coworkers keep talking about, or checking out the latest episodes of your favourite series. Prime Video is the place to be for both, and next month brings a slew of great new content to dig into. I can't wait!

There's always great new original content available, not to mention a ton of classic movies and shows to check out! Let's dive in!
Coming to Prime Video in May
Most Anticipated
Violent Night
The unconventional (and surprisingly successful!) cult hit finally comes to streaming on Prime Video! While I sadly didn't get to see this in its brief theater run, I'm pumped that I'll finally be able to check it out. When I first heard the premise, I admittedly thought it was a joke. David Harbour (Stranger Things) as a ruthless Santa Claus...out to rescue a wealthy family who has been taken hostage by an elite team of mercenaries? There's no way...
So, it's a good thing that this movie looks amazing! On paper it sounds ridiculous. On the screen it looks like a great time, it can't be denied. When a group of mercenaries take a wealthy family hostage in their own home, Santa himself takes on the task of coming to the rescue. This is definitely on my must-see list with what appears to be over-the-top action, ridiculous violence, and enough laughs to make it a blast. Be sure to check it out when Violent Night drops May 26!

Citadel (Season 1)
The first two episodes of the amazing new spy thriller series Citadel are out and it has undoubtedly lived up to the hype! Not only are the leads charming and perfectly cast, this show has moments that are pure adrenaline! Starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Citadel is the story of two strangers who meet on a train, unable to shake the feeling that they know each other somehow. What they realize is that they're actually former spies from an old defunct agency named 'Citadel', who have had their memories erased (like all other Citadel agents). Now that their enemy, the crime syndicate known as 'Manticore' is back and targeting them in a bid to take over the world, they have to remember their training and find the strength to fight back.
I don't want to spoil too much else, but rest assured this is must-see television. The action is also really stylized and not just guns blazing...it has a very James Bond vibe too it, and the cinematography is out of this world. The locations are gorgeous and there are a few scenes aboard a fast moving train that were breathtaking. Sadly, the first season only has 6 episodes in total, making it more like a mini-series (I want more!) but the good news is that early reviews were so solid that it's already been picked up for a second season! Don't miss this. The first two episodes of Citadel are on Prime Video right now. You'll thank me later!
