    • David Fincher's thriller epic about an assassin (Michael Fassbender) who begins to develop a conscience.
  • November 16 - The Crown (Season 6 - Part 1)

Most Anticipated

The Killer

I'm pretty pumped for this movie. Admittedly, I'm a hardcore David Fincher fan so anything coming from him is at the top of my must-see list. From Se7en, to Fight Club, to The Social Network or The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo...Fincher doesn't miss. One of the very few directors that, in my opinion, has a near perfect track record returns this month with the Michael Fassbender-led thriller "The Killer". After a fateful near miss, an assassin battles his employers, and himself...on an international manhunt he insists isn't personal.

That looks so good. I'm also a huge fan of this kind of neo-noir thriller, with sinister characters and stunning shadow-filled cinematography. They're like paintings come to life, and if you have a great cast and story...it makes for powerful cinema. Fassbender is a great choice as the titular assassin, and I always find that the times you meet this kind of character, you end up rooting for him despite his obviously terrible line of work. Really looking forward to this...be sure to check out The Killer when it drops on November 10!

What I'm Watching Now

The Fall of The House of Usher

Fans of edge-of-your-seat thrillers, look no further. From mastermind director/writer/producer Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass, The Midnight Club) comes his latest series that's already breaking Netflix records. If you've seen any of his previous series, you know you're in for a treat and The Fall of The House of Usher adds another notch to his belt. Loosely based on the Edgar Allen Poe story, this tale is about a corrupt CEO who must confront his questionable past when his children (and possible heirs) begin dying in mysterious and brutal ways.

As with all of Flanagan's series, once I finished watching the 8th and final episode all I could do was think about what I could have possibly missed...and when I'd be able to jump back in and rewatch the entire thing. It's that good. There's plenty of jump scares and plot twists to keep you hooked, and an ending that'll blow you away. This is definitely must-watch territory for all horror and thriller fans. The series does a fantastic job of introducing the characters quickly and the story moves along at such a brisk pace, you'll be hooked every minute. Keep the Halloween spirit alive and be sure to check out the entire series, streaming now on Netflix!
