Telus TV+ App on Apple TV - UX
Reposting this a year later, still having the same UX issue on my Apple TV 4k gen3 with the telus streaming app. I recall someone saying it was fixed, perhaps it was in a build but since has been removed?
Here's what I'm having a problem with:
In "Guide" my time hops around (left and rigth) when scrolling down. For example... I open "Guide", I want to scroll down to see what's on at 4pm, in about 3-4 rows, I'm already at 8am now.
I think these blocks should not cause me to jump backwards and forwards. It's a frustrating experience and I so badly wish it could just work the way it should work. I only want to know what I can tune into or watch at 4pm without getting

KHR — it's fixed on my app now, I just updated, and it looks like you are now splicing those blocks so as I scroll I don't click back to the starting edge of those blocks - thanks for the update! One odd note, I filed this bug maybe 2 years ago and it was fixed, but then reverted back hence why I re-filed this bug, just a note in case it gets undone again.

Yep, this has been happening for as long as I can remember. The Guide is the best feature they have in the app for watching TV, however it gets no real love and is a mess.

The latest update has improvements to the guide scrolling experience; if you have automatic app updates on it should show up within the next few days or you can manually download the new version right away. We have found that the black touchpad remote from 9+ years ago is quite sensitive, but with the aluminum remotes with d-pad, the scrolling experience is much improved.

I'll check it out but will echo what TelusSadFace said, it was not a trackpad issue, I use the latest Apple TV 4K with the aluminum remote, what is actually happening is when I scroll down the list of channels under a specific time ( most often the time it currently is - aka live) if I hit a block that spans a large amount of time it will send me back to the beginning of that content block taking me back to a totally different position on the timeline of programming. Like mentioned, I can click the back arrow function on my remote to reset but it's a very annoying user experience in general, I just want to scroll down and see what's on, and then I get whipped to another date/time. I think it would make more sense to let me comfortably scroll down without losing my spot on the timeline if that makes sense. I would suggest just trying it out and you will see as you scroll down, one channel, like a new channel will take you back to another date/time as you navigate down the list.
