5 months agoWeekendHacker Did you pass any personal info along to them? The 825 number is not listed in our directory and isn't typical for an outbound sales campaign. The display number should reflect an official TELUS toll-free number. Even then, numbers can be spoofed so we recommend staying extra vigilant with these types of calls.
Moreover, the offer they extended appears to be very generous. Consider this: the retail price of a basic iPhone 16 (128 GB) is: $1161. If financed over 24 months, that works out to be $48.38/month just for the device. As you can imagine, this scenario is highly unlikely.
Did they apply any pressure tactics to encourage you to jump on the offer?

They said it was a limited time offer.
Weird part is when I told them I'm with Rogers, they would transfer me to Rogers for the promotional deal.
I didn't pass any personal info.
They also said there'd be a 15 day trial period.
The guy was smooth. Said his name is James Carmen.
