Tv does not connect to internet when TV is first turned on

In the last  purple of months when I turn in the tv it shows the HDMI 1 connection then shows weak signal check HDMI setting after a couple of minutes the 21t box will blink the remote will blink then the tv will connect. I had a technician at the house he said the problem was the 25 year old wiring in our Condo ( not fibre optic ) the Tv will on occasion disconnect from the internet when going to Prime, Netflix or recordings this is most annoying I am paying for a service that sucks

    The issue was solved When they set my new contract they installed it with 2 REFURBISHED tv21t boxes I had them get me a technician to come to the house He knew immediately what the problem was 2 New Boxes & Problem solved

      Just curious if they sent you TelusTV- 21T or Telus TV - 24 S. I had the same problem and they sent out the older model.

        They didn’t send me anything I had them send a technician to fix the problem When I showed him what the problem was he said it was the Boxes he went to his truck and returned with 2 complete new in the box replacements He showed me they were not Refurbished units He set up the boxes and so far the problem is solved

  • The solution most likely is the power cord. If you do a search on this site you will read a lot of success stories. Telus is sending out new cords without asking as they have agreed it is the problem. Replace it, wait for a new power supply but you will get one faster from Amazon for about $13.99. Get the one with multiple adapters. or get one that is 5.5x2.5mm

      I don’t think that is the problem I have 2 TV I changed the boxes around & the same thing happens on both boxes

        OK, that was the symptom of the box I had that was replaced, just sharing.

      No he said the problem is the working the building is 2000 tech knowledge It is not fibre optic This morning was the worst it took 30min to connect my internet speed was 22.5 MBps & 2.55 upload. Another issue happened as well When I open the guide it is set to My favourites it now loads all the channels EXCEPT MY FAVOURITES. I went into the guide to subscribed channels I deleted all my favourites Then picked them again but they still do not load on the Favourites guide. So I am now have the guide set to my Subscription. I was with Telus for over 25 yrs in Okotoks Ab I moved to Calgary & moved my Telus Account to Calgary I’m really beginning to regret this Especially today when I called & was in hold for 40 minutes before I hung up
