Digital box going to sleep
Hi, I have the new digital box and even though I have the settings for screen saver set to “never” and for power and energy I have both inactive and watching set to “never” it still insists on checking in after a few hours to see if “I am still here” and then goes goes into what I assume is screen saver. Highly annoying as I love my Naturescape channel on the weekend as I am doing housework and reading. I leave it on the channel for most of the day to provide nice relaxing ambiance. What other settings need to be changed so it doesn’t do this? I have not been able to find any other settings that seem to be related.

Hi there, With the TELUS Digital Box, you’re not missing any hidden settings. Even when Screen Saver and Power & Energy options are set to Never, the box still has a built-in inactivity check that prompts “Are you still watching?” after several hours. Unfortunately, this behaviour can’t currently be disabled by customers, it’s a system-level feature designed for energy-use compliance.
Well, if you are looking for feedback for future updates this is one of them. So far I have not been overly impressed with the digital box and really have not seen where it is an “upgrade” from my PVR. But appreciate your response.
