Replacement Remote TV Digital Box

Hello! Anybody have any luck getting replacement Bluetooth remotes for the Telus TV Digital Box? I called Telus and they told me they can't send out replacements and I would have to go to my nearest authorized Telus Dealer. I went there and they told me the remotes are discontinued and gave me a Slimline 2 remote and promised it would work, which it does not as its not compatible with the Digital Box. Hoping someone might have insight on what to do, or should I just cancel my service if I can't get a remote. 

  • Unfortunately, it looks like you got some incorrect information. You should absolutely be able to order a replacement remote from an agent and compatible remotes are NOT available in stores (the Slimline II is a legacy remote that works with legacy equipment and does not have Bluetooth capabilities). Maybe send a DM to the TELUS Support username?? 

     

    For now, I'd recommend trying to factory reset your remote to see if you can bring it back to life (instructions). Failing that, you can use the Google Home mobile app as a remote until you can get a replacement.

  • I, too, am looking for a replacement Telus bluetooth remote. 

     

    Like the user KeepDiscovering, I also am having difficulty finding an agent who can send me a replacement.

      I have the same problem. The store gave me a slimline II. It doesn’t work. I’ve called for help and they sent me instructions for my old remote. I can’t seem to find anyone who can help. I’ve now lost hours trying to navigate the website, the various phone menus trying to keep me from an agent, and speaking to agents who send me the same useless web instructions. Help!!!!

      I was contacted by a support member who ended up sending me an entirely new box as it would come with a new remote, I'm assuming you will have to go the same route
