The past one week, my TELUS fibre connection has been cutting off unexpectedly many times throughout the day. The modem/ router displays the light of internet fades away (takes upto 30-60 seconds) and then reappears. Smart home devices lose connection, rechargeable streaming buffers are no longer available, and telephone calls over the internet (VoIP) fail. Things I’ve tried so far: Rebooted the Home Hub and my router. Factory-reset the Home Hub and had reconfigured basic settings. DESCHNICHT connected a laptop to the ONT (whenever possible) - same disconnects. Safely powering up in hours of sleep Checked TELUS outage page (no widespread outage listed) Replaced Ethernet cable and used another wall port. I even went to Forum GetAssist to see whether anybody had the same kind of connectivity problem with the ISPs, and there were a few mentions of random drops, though no specific solution. WAN links drops were recorded repeatedly (there were no evident authentication failures). TELUS tech support created a ticket and reported that nothing was apparent on their side yet. Could this be a flaky ONT, line issue or a problem with the Home Hub firmware? Which diagnostic steps or tests would you recommend that the tech perform?1.5KViews0likes5CommentsStill No Fibre In Varsity Drive......
I moved to Varsity Drive for two years. When I moved into here, there was no PureFibre, but now still doesn't have PureFibre…… But I saw on east of Varsity Drive someone there have PureFibre. Just wondering when I might get PureFibre service, really want to have high upload speed, Shaw cannot provide high upload speed because it is DOCSIS...... There is a back alley that with overhead utility pole and the coax from Shaw are down from there. Is that really hard to make the fibre on it and make it in my house?Solved58Views0likes3CommentsCancelled service, paid final bill already, why is Telus still sending me an e-bill?
I had cancelled my Telus home service three months ago, and after that, returned my modem to them, and Telus e-billed me for my final payment in January 2026, which is 213 dollars. In February 2026, the e-bill came again, and the statement was 0.00. In March, Telus didn't send me an email. I thought it was perfect; no more bills to pay. But now in April, Telus sent me another E-bill again, and I owe them money, but when I log into Telus, the home service account doesn't even exist anymore. Do I need to pay, or is it a system issue that they charge me incorrectly and still think my account is still in use? Please have Telus send your support team and message me.47Views0likes0CommentsTelus Internet cancellation nightmare: still no resolution!
I’m posting another update here because, true to form, Telus has dropped the ball yet again. I was assured that Cammy, a manager at Telus, would reach out to me directly on April 1st to finally get my service disconnected properly and arrange the return shipping for the equipment. Well, April 1st has come and gone, and big surprise—absolutely zero follow-up or phone call. I am completely fed up with how difficult and exhausting it has been just to close out this account. First, a loyalty agent cancels my service without my authorization. Then, I am told I have to pay over $200 in early termination fees for moving to an area where Telus can't even provide service - completely contradicting what the sales rep told me when I signed up. And now, management cannot even be bothered to call me back when they specifically schedule a time to do so. Can a forum moderator or someone with actual authority please step in and deal with this? I am tired of being passed around, lied to, and ignored. I just want this nightmare over with. What do I actually have to do to get some real customer service here?67Views0likes1CommentInternet Cancellation
I have tried numerous times to cancel my internet with Telus but they won't cancel it. I've called multiple times and they keep saying the request is put in and someone will call to confirm, but no one calls. They continue to lie and deceive. I would not recommend Telus to anyone.250Views0likes4CommentsReturn Your TELUS Equipment in 3 Easy Steps

Hello Telus, BC Hydro recently replaced the pole that our electrical and telecommunication lines are on. They used the 'cut and kick' method which left your lines connected to the old rotting pole that was cut down and tethered to the new pole. How do I begin the process of getting Telus to move their lines over to the new pole and removing the old pole? BC Hydro has instructed me to contact you to finish the process. I reached out to your technical support team who made me an appointment with a technician. After nobody showed up for the appointment, I was told by another agent that the incorrect team was dispatched. I'm not confident your front-line call centre staff are familiar with how utility poles are replace here in Canada. I have reached out to you via private message and haven't heard back. I see from other posts you were able to help get the ball rolling. While not an emergency case, I'd like to ensure it does not fall by the wayside. Thank you in advance for your assistance!63Views0likes1CommentPSA to everyone having tech difficulties

We have had the Fibre Optic brought into our condo building, the wire runs to each condo above the door. My question is why do we have to have wires running all around each condo to each TV? I would like to go with the fibre optic but I don't like the way neighbor's have had wires running around the walls across the stucco popcorn ceilings and ruining the look of the home. Why cant something be fitted where my modem is now just inside the door and then use Wi fi for everything?114Views0likes2Comments
