Re: Connect App - Not connected to Home Network
Using a web browser, login as admin to the NAH (Network Access Hub, installed on the wall). Its default IP address is 192.168.1.254 (I changed mine through its web interface). The default admin password is on the label, hidden by the front cover. Once in, look for the IP address of the Main WiFi unit. Now log into the main WiFi unit's web interface using that IP address. The user name is 'admin'. Its admin password is on its label. Remove the base and the label will there. From here, you can change the name of the main SSID, the guest SSID and their respective password. I forget if the settings are propagated to the miniBoost 6e units. If not, their respective IP address and admin password can be found through the steps above for each miniBoost 6e you have.1.8KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Connect App - Not connected to Home Network
You have to login the wall unit with a browser. Use 182.168.1.254 and the admin password on la el found on the unit mounted to the wall. From there you can find the IP address of your main (tall cylinder) Booster. Now login to that unit using the found IP address and the admin password on its label. From here, you can change the SSID name and password. It should propagate to any connected mini Boosters 6E (shorter cylinder).6.5KViews0likes1CommentRe: Connect App - Not connected to Home Network
Sorry about the confusion. You first have to go to the .254 to find the IP address of your main Booster (tall cylinder). This IP address can be different from one network to another. It will have the same first three numbers : 192.168.1, but the last will be unique to your unit on your network. Once you have that IP address, you can log into your main Booster unit using its IP address and its admin password. The later is on the units label.3.4KViews0likes1CommentRe: Connect App - Not connected to Home Network
The default for the NOH (modem on wall) is: 192.168.1.254 The login is: admin The password is on the label found on the "modem" (unit fixed to the wall). The label shows the default SSID, its password and the admin password. You need to use that last one to login into the unit's web interface.3.4KViews0likes3CommentsRe: [Megathread]: TELUS Connect
You can use the web interface of the main Booster (taller unit) to change the SSID and password of the WiFi. First connect to the gateway (192.168.1.254) with your favorite browser. The password of the gateway can be found on the label inside the unit fixed to the wall. Simply take its front cover off, the label with password should be easily visible. From there, find the IP address of the main Booster (the taller one). It should be easy to identify by its name. Now, using your browser, connect to that IP address. The password to use is on the label of the Booster. From there, go to the WiFi tab and configure your SSID name and password for both your main WiFi and the Guest WiFi, if you want one. All of the connected miniBoosters will get updated on the fly. At that point, you will need to add the new SSID/password to your computer and any other devices. Probably not as obvious and easy as if done through the App, but at least it works.1.5KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Connect App - Not connected to Home Network
You should be able to add new miniBoosters by connecting, one by one, to the main (tall) using the supplied ethernet cable. Wait until the miniBooster's LED goes green. Then you should be able to move it to the desired location. It should connect through WiFi (if it is in range of the main Booster) - LED being solid green for a good connection. Renaming the SSID and changing passwords for main and guest WiFi networks can be done through web interface of the main booster, not the .254 which is the gateway. That one allows changing the IP scheme and other parameters. The web interface of the .254 does show the IP address of the main Booster (taller unit) as well as the miniBoosters. Password to be used is on the label of the respective device, unless you changed them through the web interface.3.5KViews0likes5CommentsRe: How do I connect using Wi-Fi 6E
Actually, the 6E Booster supports only "SmartSteering". It can only be turned off by turning off 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz. It also has a 'special' SSID (fixed name and password) for any "smart home" devices. In my transition to the Telus gear, I left my old gear with its 2.4 and 5 SSIDs & setup a new SSID to transfer my many devices to. All of them connected with no issues to the Telus histed SSID. All connected to their best frequency. Once all devices transferred, I turned off the old SSIDs, checked if any devices was forgotten then removed old gear. My only issue, so far, is the darn app. It doesn't see the Telus hardware! A tech is trying to figure it out remotely. He says the latest update fixed the issue for at least some people. So they are scratching their heads ... I suspect the queries to the hardware aren't returning expected values and app gets lost ... At least network and WiFi are working. Simply not possible to manage devices (ex: pause, etc.) and such. Rest can be done through the web interfaces (ex: rename SSID of main and guest WiFi, change their passwords, tweak IP, ...)2.8KViews0likes0CommentsRe: How do I connect using Wi-Fi 6E
Through the webpage of the Booster 6E you can turn on and name the 6E SSID which would then be available to all your in range 6E devices. I have my Samsung S22 Ultra and my Macbook Pro 2023 connected has 6E devices. Note that other devices can connect with WiFi6 (not 6E). They should show a little "6" along with "WiFi" to confirm even if they are connecting to your regular SSID.3KViews0likes2Comments
