Hi KHR, It does only seem to be an issue when the Blue Jays are at home at the Rogers Centre or SkyDome as the old name will always stick. Tonight’s game in Detroit seems to be fine. I do notice when the Blue Jays are at home Sportsnet shows SN4K in the top right corner and it just shows SN when they’re on the road. This is the same for Maple Leafs games during the NHL season as well. Does this mean it’s only true 4K when the Toronto teams at home?49Views0likes4CommentsRe: TELUS TV Feature Updates - Ongoing
Hi Optik Kate and Telus Team, These colour issues are still present on Sportsnet 4K channels, specifically while watching the Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre. You mentioned that it may be a Rogers issue, however these colour issues are not present on the same Sportsnet 4K channel on Shaw/Rogers boxes. I have photos of both my Telus Android box picture and a photo from a family member’s Shaw/Rogers box on the same channel from tonight’s game and the colour is normal on Shaw’s 4K channel. The colour is also normal on other Sportsnet HD channels on my Telus android box. As Montell said, it’s quite a red/orangish tint. I connect the bedroom tv box via Ethernet to the wifi booster. It only has one Ethernet port so I can’t do the Apple TV box as well but it works just fine over a wifi connection, which shows support for the Telus hardware being the issue as you said. The main booster modem is too far to run an Ethernet cable to the bedroom tv box. That being said, these devices are marketed to run off wifi connection and I live in a small space at 1050sq feet. I’ve had the new Telus TV Android boxes since February now but keep having issues with the one on my bedroom tv. I live in a 1050sq foot condo so it should not be an issue but Telus offered me the wifi plus package with additional wifi boosters. I have put one of those in the bedroom and connected to the Telus TV box via Ethernet but still get errors almost every day, especially on the Sportsnet 4K channels. My Apple TV box in the same room works just fine over wifi connection. The same Telus TV box often starts up in a pixelated purple/green screen with the Telus TV logo. I have tried calling into Telus and am tired of being given the run around and them trying to charge for a tech to come out and see if there is an issue. I can tell them that there is certainly an issue, my guess is with the Telus TV box. I’m currently paying the extra $10/month for the extra wifi boosters that don’t seem to make any difference. Do any forum members have any tips for getting this resolved? I have waited on hold for multiple hours and then told the department is now closed. It is so hard to get a hold of an actual person now with Telus and it is so frustrating. And then if I do get someone, I am thrown around to different departments with no answer. Did you ever find a fix to this? My receiver also does not turn off but the TV and Cable box does when pressing the power button on the Telus remote. Volume was programmed the same way you did and works. My previous Shaw remote also turned on/off all 3 three things (TV, Receiver, Cable Box).4KViews0likes3CommentsDoes Install Tech Bring Modem?
I just signed up for Telus PureFibre coming from Shaw and have an install scheduled this week. Does the technician bring the Internet equipment or does it get shipped to me? I understand that the TV boxes will be shipped and I can self install these (I think?) but I'm hoping the technician will bring the internet equipment as I haven't had a notification for anything being shipped yet.2.5KViews0likes3Comments
