yes, it was wired for a doorbell as it is using the existing wiring to power the DB camera. However, we can't seem to find the chime that you would expect in the traditional button & chime scenario. We think the previous owner might have removed the wired chime. Does anyone know if the Telus video door bell comes with an external chime or is there one available? This home we purchased has the Telus doorbell but it only "chimes" outside. Not sure exactly how to get something on the inside of the home to chime. Ps, we are NOT subscribers to any Telus security services. Excellent! Thanks for the confirmation, that clears up some confusion. A follow up question I have for you if you knew. We have since discovered there is a copper phone line to the premises. So I'm assuming it's a DSL connection (any way to find out for sure?). Does Telus still offer a DSL Internet service or is the only option the 4G/5G Smart Hub ? Friends of mine moved into a rural neighborhood and signed up for Telus Smart Hub wireless Internet. They had also requested their home phone service to be moved over too. My question is does anyone know if the Smart Hub service supports phone service? yup. I've personally given up posting any new/ongoing issues as its pointless. I suspect its the same with others that I used to see predominantly posting. They don't seem to have any motivation to fix this. Err,, fix is the wrong choice. Scrap it and start over might be a better outlook as they can't even show us what the roadmapp looks like to what they envision it to function like. IMO i think major changes to function are done,, now its just some bug fixes,,,, but this is the form and function for the most part of what its going to be going forward. Well yes of course you can (providing the respective services are available in your area). Nobody said you couldn't You will just pay ALOT more as you will loose the bundle discount. I originally looked into it and when I priced out the internet from Telus and TV package from Rogers it was way to much that way. Why have the pinned posting anymore if your not maintaining ( this is the second time I've asked ) Then please feel free to update the ever patient patrons of this disastrous system as to when something akin to a properly functioning system we might expect..... I seriously doubt you will ever post a list and timeline as to what we can expect for "improvements". I think you've all gauged it's time to scale back development and recover more money so that's why nothing is forthcoming.
