Re: SOUND
I think the max volume level has resolved the sound level shifts! I first set the LG settop box to max volume while leaving my Sony settop box to it's original value (which was 53%). The LG settop box sound level shifts was resolved and the Sony settop box still had some sound level shifts (we use this TV less often). I have since set the Sony settop box to max and it too appears to be fixed now. Now what I'm not sure about: since setting the settop box volume to max, voice sync appears to be resolved as well. We've gone many days with everything staying in sync. I'm not sure if the volume change fixed this or if TELUS did something behind the scenes.9Views0likes0CommentsRe: SOUND
Here’s my info: can you confirm set-top box make/model (TELUSTV-21T or TELUSTV-24S, other)? TELUSTV-21T is it across all channels? Yes do you have your set-top box volume set to 15 (ask google assistant to 'set volume to max')? Interesting: I did this on one of my TVs and the volume instantly increased and I needed to reduce the TV volume. I’ll monitor if the problem continues. Meanwhile: Is there a way to query what the current setting is before doing this? I would assume this would be important feedback. I have not done this on my other TV; so, I can provide info from my other TV that has the same issue. Are you using anything other than set-top box to tv and using TV speakers? No – I have the TELUSTV-21T directly connected via hdmi Any sound settings you've changed on your TV? Before the problem started? no Since the problem started? yes – many changes in an unsuccessful attempt to fix the problem. Tony19Views0likes4CommentsRe: SOUND
Any update on this or anyone else seeing this? This started on both my TVs with no changes from my side. What changed on Telus' side? If I was told what changed (like maybe release notes?!), I may be able to figure out what, on my side, I can fiddle with to fix this.58Views0likes0CommentsRe: SOUND
Definitely an issue, I've encountered the same - it's been going on for a while now and thought it was me. To reproduce sound drop: 1. live stream: go back a few minutes and then skip forward a few times and eventually the sound drops. 2. recording: go forward a few times and eventually the sound drops To reproduce sound recovery: 1. bring up the guide and use up or down, and the sound will raise back up (no need to select a change in channel). 2. (need to have recording items) bring up the recording menu and use down selection, the sound will raise back up (no need to select the recording) This is the item that highlighted the issue and led me to start investigating. I can reproduce this on two of my TVs - an LG OLED (4 years old) and a Sony (13 years old) This started recently, maybe two updates back. Very annoying.54Views1like0CommentsOptikTV: TELUSTV-21T Recording Defect on Network Interruptions
One of the recent updates has a serious defect when playing back recordings on the TELUSTV-21T android box. If a network issue occurs during a current recording (i.e. you are watching a recording that is still actively recording), a network glitch will cause the recording to jump to a live stream. The behaviour should be to continue from the point of the recording playback before the network glitch occured. This occurred twice when watching the active 4K recording of Game 7. I was enjoying the game, Toronto was up 3-1 in the 4th and ... the screen goes back with a spinning green circle in the lower right of the screen - after, maybe 15-20 secs, the screen comes back on but it's live streaming the recording now! The 8th inning and the score is 4-3! What the ...! I backed up the recording to watch the skipped innings, when after some time, it occurred again: black screen with green circle and then when it comes back, it's live streaming again, now it's the 9th inning and its 4-4! Please fix this defect - it's ruining sports recordings. Especially 4K where network capacity may be stressed. I've seen other reports logged in these forums showing this happening to other customers. The source of this issue was obvious with this specifiic recording - the developers need to include tests using a network emulator to inject network failures (packet loss, delays, duplication, etc.). But first off, someone in development (BA) needs to define what the behaviour needs to be when the network glitches: which is obvious to continue the recording from the point before the network issue!112Views0likes3CommentsTelusTV+ On Windows Guide Lost Backward Option
The TelusTV+ app on Windows has lost the ability to move the guide back on the timeline. You can use the timeline bar to move forward using the ">" icon but the "<" icon no longer appears. I don't know if it's related but using the back arrow on the keyboard only allows me to back up to the current time. I can no longer look at earlier shows. I used to be able to go back at least 1 day to restart a program - that is no longer possible. It works properly on iOS and on the set top box. NOTE: I tried using Edge and Chrome.Solved81Views0likes2Comments
