Telus TV+ App on Apple TV - UX
Reposting this a year later, still having the same UX issue on my Apple TV 4k gen3 with the telus streaming app. I recall someone saying it was fixed, perhaps it was in a build but since has been removed? Here's what I'm having a problem with: In "Guide" my time hops around (left and rigth) when scrolling down. For example... I open "Guide", I want to scroll down to see what's on at 4pm, in about 3-4 rows, I'm already at 8am now. I think these blocks should not cause me to jump backwards and forwards. It's a frustrating experience and I so badly wish it could just work the way it should work. I only want to know what I can tune into or watch at 4pm without getting52Views0likes0CommentsRe: 4k channels coming to Telus Apple TV app?
It’s been one year and I still have not seen any updates on 4K channels for the TELUS + app on Apple TV 4K. Is this still something we can expect? I’ve tried to use the optik box but it does not compare or even come close to the experience and quality I get using my Apple TV 4K box. The only drop in value is when I watch sports on the telus + app and for marquee games like the NHL playoffs it would be great to see these high quality. Thanks.792Views0likes1CommentRe: Delay in sports brodcasts
I want to make sure the language is clear here, it is not a "slight" delay, 1 minute is a large delay for live sports. When I can hear my neighbour cheering 1 minute ahead of where I am in a game... that's a big delay. On the flip side, if I'm cooking dinner, I can count on Telus to be behind and my neighbour screaming to know when to look up LOL.9.6KViews2likes0CommentsRe: Delay in sports brodcasts
Just wanted to say that I watched a game on Amazon prime tonight and the stream was crisp, felt almost 4k in comparison to telus live tv. other features I love, the game is synced to live scores where as on telus tv plus I’m about one minute behind or more sometimes. other thing I think is great is some indicator that says live just in case someone sits on a remote you can identify easily if you are behind or not. i do hope telus tv plus gets more improvements to live tv considering the high cost. im on Apple TV 4K9.7KViews0likes5CommentsRe: Telus TV+ App on Apple TV - UX design problems
Appreciate all the replies, but I still want to propose that you add a live tag to help out in situations where it could be misunderstood. I think in my example where I selected a game to watch—choosing to join the game in the third period—there was no visual indicator for me to know if I was live or not (I understand the progress track could be a argued as an indicator) but in this exact context that button did not show up since I had not paused anything. If I had seen that button for example I could immediately be informed that I'm not watching a live feed and correct it. Just my two cents here as I'm only trying to suggest things that may improve the overall user experience. Thanks and happy to hear improvements are always coming.2.5KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Telus TV+ App on Apple TV - UX design problems
Just got home and tested it out, the guide works much better. For the 'jump to live' it takes 30 seconds to appear. I would still think this button should just always be there in case my feed is buggy and I enter the game starting at the beginning and not the live (what has happened to me before) and still think it would be super helpful to add a [live] tag so I have some confirmation that I am indeed watching live.2.6KViews0likes1CommentRe: Telus TV+ App on Apple TV - UX design problems
That's great news on #1, I'll update and try that out (I'm also in the newer aluminum remote) For number #2, can I ask why jump to live only shows up after being paused for 10s? — I can see the logic in this specific case where you pause — but if I click a game and it takes me by default to the beginning and not the live shouldn't that button show up automatically? Alternatively could you also consider displaying whether or not you are live or not, like a live chip graphic or something to avoid any confusion. Thank you for the reply!2.6KViews0likes0Comments
