Re: Voicemail 25 vs Advanced Voicemail included in plan.
Following up here, the response is actually incorrect. I have found out that all current plans come with Voicemail 25. The addon is for customers who are on older plans that came with no voicemail, or more basic voicemail.11KViews1like0CommentsRe: I thought TELUS is a big company?
Any large corporation, including TELUS, should be proactively monitoring their own social/comment section to address customer concerns. Saying these forums are just other customers talking to each other is quite frankly nothing short of a cop-out. Any company worth their weight at providing customer service should be monitoring forums like these and reaching out to customers who have concerns.5.9KViews1like0CommentsVoicemail 25 vs Advanced Voicemail included in plan.
I have a couple of questions. First, what voicemail features come with a standard "unlimited" plan? For example, how long do the messages stay in your inbox, what is the message length maximum, how many messages can you save at once, etc. Also, when I looked at optional features, there is an addon called "Voicemail 25" for $5/month. What is included in Voicemail 25 that isn't included in the standard voicemail included with the plan?11KViews0likes2CommentsUpgrading to 1.5 Gbps - Will I be able to keep promotional discounts?
Hello, I currently have PureFibre 940 Mbps internet, and I am currently 3 months into my 2 year term with this service, which gives me $46 dollars off the regular price of $135. So currently I am paying $89 for the 940 Mbps service, which is the current advertised rate. I want to upgrade to the 1.5 Gbps service, but when I log into my account to upgrade it, I am only seeing the price listed as being $165/month, meaning I would lose the $46 discount I currently have. When I go to the main Telus internet sales page, they are advertising the 1.5 Gpbs plan as also having a $46 promotional savings, meaning new sign ups would get this for $119/month. Would Telus allow me to upgrade and keep my $46 promotional savings? Would this upgrade count as breaking my contract? I still want to honor the term I have, and am willing to start my term over again if that's what it takes.4.1KViews0likes2CommentsRe: (999)999-9999 Text
In this day and age, I believe that most people have just adopted the strategy that they don't reply or answer calls or texts from numbers not already in their contact lists. I added 9999999999 to my blocked list ages ago. Any call or text from a number not on my contact list is automatically filtered to a spam folder on my phone. I double check the spam folder once a month just to make sure any legitimate texts didn't end up there, but 99% of the time, the folder is all junk. I mean who, in 2022, answers calls from unknown numbers anymore? That's so 2010.25KViews0likes1CommentRe: (999)999-9999 Text
I get these texts now and then, including from numbers with all 9's in them. It's 100% a scam, and they are looking to steal your banking login credentials in order to access your bank accounts and transfer money out of it illegally. NEVER click on links from texts you don't know where they came from. It's also common to get texts from scammers pretending to be online stores like Amazon or Microsoft saying you are getting a "refund".30KViews0likes1CommentText Messaging from a Tablet - Does it cost money?
Hello, I have a Unlimited smartphone plan that is connected with a separate line for sharable data with an Android Tablet. I noticed the tablet has a text messaging app pre-installed on there. Does the sharable tablet access plan allow for unlimited text messaging, or do they charge a "pay-per-use" fee to send out texts?7.3KViews0likes5CommentsRe: Track+ to be discontinued
I'm quite mad about this discontinuation. I am even considering leaving Telus for a cheaper plan with a flanker brand, as the track + service was the main reason I was with Telus. As for alternatives, Bell offers a Samsung Tracking device (that is LTE and not bluetooth). Personally, I am going to just get a few of the Samsung Smart Tag + devices (the ones that are bluetooth, and not LTE based). If you are with Apple devices, they have the AirTags as a comparable device. What I will miss with Samsung Smart Tags is the cellular connection, as relying on only Bluetooth won't provide the same level of tracking, but I've seen decent reviews of that device.3.1KViews0likes0Comments
