Boost WiFi
Does Telus still sell the Boost WiFi extenders? If they don't, I found someone on Craigslist that is selling his. Assuming they are still in working condition, is there any danger in installing a used Boost WiFi (i.e. security issues) and will it be compatible with my Telus WiFi network? My 5 Ghz WiFi band keeps dropping the signal. Like each time I'd leave my iPad alone for a few hours or I'd be watching Netflix and then the WiFi would just die and I'd have to disconnect and reconnect to it. These are the settings in Advanced Set Up. Is there any opportunity for improvement here? I've also included the one for the 2.4 Ghz band.Re: Speeds through a Booster
A lot of this also depends on the device you're on (due to the wifi modem that's actually in the device). As an example my iPhone XS and iPad 6th Generation gets around 350 Mbps on the 5Ghz network when next to my T3200M but my dad's older Samsung tablet only gets about 200 Mbps. On the Booster I get around 150 Mbps on my iPhone XS while his Huawei P10 Lite only gets about 80 Mbps. Hope this helps!
