Re: Home Phone can look like its working but it's not
I had contacted support but all they did was instruct me how to reset it (as if I didn't know that already). I'm going to keep a log of trying make outgoing calls once per week, to start with, to hopefully get an idea of how stable it actually is. The device is only 10 feet or so from a window but our house is on a hill and the room is on the uphill side. Because it uses a cellular connection, I'm going to move it to the downhill side (that faces the valley) and closer to a window to see if that helps.942Views0likes1CommentHome Phone can look like its working but it's not
I have a Wireless Home Phone ZTE device (don't know the exact model number). Ever since I've owned it (3+ years), the lights will be all green, making it looks like it's working fine, but every so often, calls do not get through to my physical phone. So I end up not knowing someone has called, sometimes for weeks, until I try making a call out. I need to turn it off and on for it to start working again. People should be aware of this before signing up (and paying for!) this device/service.982Views0likes4CommentsRe: Telus Reward Point Expiry
I only found out about this from a Facebook "Rant and Rave" page and discovered that I've lost just over $300 in rewards. As time goes on, more and more customers are going to find our about this and, like me, be absolutely livid! Get ready to lose a customer who spends over $500 every month, all to steal $300. Who do you think you are, Telus, Canada MAGA?4.8KViews2likes1CommentDownload all available 2024 bills only downloads 12 months
This applies to both Mobility and Home accounts. On the "past-bills" page, there is a link to download an entire year's worth of bills. But instead of getting 12 pdf's, I only got 10 (missing April and May) for Mobility and 10 (missing April and June) for Home. While I can at least download the missing pdf's individually, how hard can it be for "Download all available 2024 bills" to, you know, actually download all available 2024 bills? But then again, nothing with the Telus website and app surprises me any more.472Views0likes0CommentsRe: Scheduled maintenance took out all Telus services in BC Interior
I do get SMS messages about outages and the last one I got was for March 14-15. Please don't try to deflect the fact that this was unplanned and clearly a failure because it was everywhere for everyone in the Interior. It's all over the news and Facebook.3.7KViews1like0CommentsScheduled maintenance took out all Telus services in BC Interior
I was watching YouTube on my phone last night over my home WiFi and at 11:36 I lost my Internet connection. I checked my TV and it was out too. So was my cell service. So was my wireless (i.e. cellular) home phone. I then discovered that it was not just me, my neighbourhood, or even my city (West Kelowna). They were out everywhere in (at least) the greater Kelowna area. It was restored sometime between 2:00 and 4:30 AM. Telus's outage page (that I was able to get to after using KGH's WiFi) didn't even list it! I found out through local news this morning that it was because Telus was doing "routine, scheduled maintenance". Really? "Routine, scheduled maintenance" that takes out every single form of communication for 3-4 hours? Everyone should make sure to call Telus and demand compensation for this critical loss of service. Especially since it was not due to any natural or otherwise unexpected causes. There could have been serious consequences had someone not been able to reach anyone in an emergency. I don't care if it was the middle of the night. Thousands of people work night shifts, etc. and emergencies can happen at any time.3.7KViews1like3Comments
