Promo call??

Just Moved In

I recieved a promo call from telus this morning and was wanting to switch over so I went through the process. I was concerned about giving my information to the salesman so he hung up and called me from the telus help line which I appreciated, but now I'm concerned because my confirmation email doesn't have any order number or contract attached to the email or directions for my next steps...did I get scammed?
