With respect to Optik TV+ 21T boxes, the persistent issues with My Favorites and Recording Settings/Options are in their 2nd year.
Is it asking too much:
Last I checked it's still a line item on my monthly Home/Internet Services bill.
Cable TV appears to have taken a back seat, or perhaps not even seated next, to Streaming and OnDemand services.
Not looking for Amazon Fire Stick just a Telus Glow Stick would suffice for now.
A non-complicated, unencumbered TV viewing experience is not a lot to ask; considering, we are committed to 2yr plans for just that!

well worded request. Thanks for reminding me that I have not had any complaints on the internet connection or any of the apps operating poorly. Yes it is just the "cable" TV as you call it. Specifically the TelusTV-21T box.

That type of canned, boilerplate Telus Support response is not aging well.
I'll take it up with Loyalty/Retention and request a monthly credit for the 7-Theme Pack portion of the bill. Only paying for the Crave and Netflix premium portions would be fair and reasonable until these "TV-" issues are resolved.
