Can I not watch optic tv on Apple box using iPhone airplay and optic tv app. Get error sorry playback is not available

Unfortunately then, your're out of luck. Only other possible option would be if you have a computer that you could connect via HDMI to your TV and stream from the Watch Optik website.

No, AirPlay is not supported. You would want to install the Optik TV app on your AppleTV instead.
