I switched to a different provider on Dec 3 . I had a monthly contract with with Telus (using my own phone) and my billing date ended Dec 23rd. I was told by my new provider that Telus would stop billing me the moment my number was switched. But Telus is billing me until Jan 23rd. Is this correct? Thanks.

@sjam22 As part of cancelling, the closing cycle entails 3 closing bills over 90 days (you would already be cancelled but this is just the system running through the accounting). If you've cancelled mid-cycle, a credit will be applied to your first-closing invoice for the unused portion of all recurring rate plans and add-ons.
