I keep receiving texts from 183587 claiming to be TELUS and that I have a payment "past due"
The message reads:
FreeMsg TELUS 8884961481: (changing message about being reminded to pay).
Reply 1 to pay, 2 if already paid, or 3 for more details
I have auto-pay on both my Mobility and Home account and have kept up on my payments. Not sure why I keep getting these texts. Is this actually TELUS or is this a scam?

Total scam. That's not even a Telus toll free number. Depending on your phone / messaging app, you may be able to report it as spam / junk. If not see: https://www.telus.com/en/support/article/report-spam-texts-smartphone

Thank you very much! I've blocked and reported the number, so relieved I didn't interact with it other than that.

I've also recently got repeated messages from this number (183587), about a Telus account that I do not own at all. Telus live agent have confirmed with me what I've received are spam. Telus account numbers are 6-7 digits only but the message I got was having so many more digits to it. Also got spam calls about the Telus account I do not own calling me incorrect name.

Thanks! I got the same thing from same number, quoting same (fake) Telus account number. With help from Telus live support crew they've confirmed this is total spam.
