Unauthorized Internet Speed Upgrade
I have been on 250mbps for years, and suddenly last bill was upgraded to 500mbps pure fibre without my consent.
I did not authorise this!!!
I want to go back to my old 250mbps plan that i have had for years, i will never use the 500mbps!

I called Telus about my bill last year and they upgraded mine from 250 mbps to 500 for free.
and yes, Telus suddenly charged me more in may 2025 without my authorization. I authorized none of this and now im paying for something i never wanted
you did not answer if you are under a new contract. There is a roll over clause in the contracts that you agreed to allowing a higher price if you do nothing about renewal.
So did your 2 year contract end and you lost discounts as mentioned in the contract only lasting for the two year term.
- I'll have to do some more research on my end as I don't recall any rollover clause.
Didnt even notice the change until suddenly in May 2025 my bill jumped significantly. I have never needed the extra bandwidth. Its completely useless to me free or not. I want to go back to my 250 which is what i originally signed up for
did your two year contract roll over without you doing anything. They were offering 500G for the same price as 250, so did you get the same price?
May 2025 is when my service was upgraded without my authorization from 250mbps to 500mbps pure fibre
