Has anyone tied contacting any of the Consumer Protection programs or Media about Telus’ theft of our rewards points? As I started to hear about this from others I checked my two accounts in February to find 580 points missing. After numerous calls and literally hours on the phone they credited me $100 times two accounts but now I see that is only worth 230 of my 580 lost points. They told me the notice was on my October through January bills and they emailed me about it. No emails were received and after carefully checking these 4 bills on two separate accounts there was exactly one bill notification in December. Tiny print on page 8 of my bill. Could Telus possibly be any of a less reputable company? Someone mentioned Airmiles AKA their new “expiration of miles” plan in 2016 but Airmiles gave a years notice AND they finally scrapped the plan at the last minute. So no, Telus learned nothing from that fiasco. I’m embarrassed to admit to having worked my entire career for BC Tel and Telus though BC Tel isn’t to blame here.

That's a good idea about getting media coverage on this. CBC's "Go Public" or CTV's "consumer alert are a couple of examples. Other people have received $1 credit for every 1 point that was lost. Keep trying. You're correct, there was only ONE notification on One monthly paper statement... the person who told you otherwise was lying. I've just switched back to receiving paper statements in the mail so that I don't miss one of their scams in the future.
Fortunately I found out about the reward points expiry from a friend of mine who read the fine print on his December bill, and I was able to redeem my points in time so I didn't lose anything, but it really angers me that a Canadian company would be doing this to its Canadian customers, and the long-term customers are the ones getting penalized the most. I was a customer of Telus' predecessor AGT in Alberta in the 1980's before moving to BC where it was BC Tel and then have been a Telus customer since the merger. I'm planning to cancel Telus when my contract is up in August.

Gift cards have routinely been cancelled.
I have yet to figure out why I am given points, since nothing is freely given I must be paying too much for the services provided so they give me a time limited chance to redeem the overpayment. Nothing is freely given.
But I use them asap.
