I got my phone in early February I am on a 2yr contract and I was wondering how much it would be to upgrade to a new phone

You would need to pay out the remaining 16 months subsidy. I believe it is in the neighbourhood of $20 per month, but varies depending on the specific phone you acquired.

The remaining device balance is on your monthly bill. Pay that out and you can upgrade any time.
