I'm a new Telus customer and I've been having technical issues with getting one of my phone numbers ported. The account specialist keeps telling me to wait or that it's being worked on or that I should be receiving a text notification for the porting. I did not see this issue make any progress. I thought I'd try deleting the eSIM and recreating it on MyTelus, but I ran into more issues and couldn't create a new eSIM. It's been half a month and frustrating to see that my first monthly bill is more than double the amount I should be paying and I can't use one of the phone lines...28Views0likes3CommentsConfusion around travel with former 5G+ Complete Explore plan
Similar discussion: Confusion around "travel" information and the 5G+ Complete - Unlimited Explore plan | TELUS Neighbourhood In January, I signed up for the 5G+ Complete Explore plan. I was informed that my plan worked, including data in 68 countries with no extra fees and that it was locked in for 5 years. The contract also noted "Plan Coverage in Canada & 68 destinations" and also "Roaming Data Access in Canada & 68 destinations" I travelled to Mexico in February and was able to use my full monthly included data bucket at high speeds with no additional roaming pack or charges. I am going to Portugal this fall so I logged in to confirm that it is still listed as one of the included 68, which it is. But similar to the user in the above linked conversation, when I check my travel, it tells me that I need to purchase a roaming pack for Portugal. For interest, I checked Mexico, and it again indicated I need to purchase a roaming pack. I checked the USA and it stated this was included in my plan. I checked the current plans for details and see that my plan is no longer there. It is now Complete, Complete Ultimate, and Complete Explore Ultimate. I want to confirm that the 5G+ Complete Explore plan from January 2026 with the above contract notes still covers full plan roaming to the +68 countries. Thank you!Solved224Views0likes6CommentsWhy my Long distance add-ons in plan expiring ?
I have two mobile phone lines under same the account with Telus mobility. My plan agreement which started from August 1, 2025 includes long distance calling (2000 minutes/month) to India/Pakistan as long as my plan is active. The add -ons are currently active on both the phone lines. However I see in my billing that they are expiring in Aug/Sept this year. Why? I tried to call Telus today but the agent disconnected my line after putting me on hold.266Views0likes10CommentsPre-authorized payment discount not active ?
Hi there, I've been using Telus for a little bit more than 3 years now with 2 phone plans and 1 home service. Today, I learned about the pre-authorized payment discount that we can get on phone plans (and potentially on the home internet service too ?) and realized that I've never got it. I am paying my bills with the pre-authorized payment from a checking account (not from a credit card), and from the research that I did, it looks like my plan should benefit from that discount. Does anybody know if the EPP Unlimited 25GB 5G is really eligible for that discount ? Is the PureFibre Internet 1.5G plan also eligible for that ? Thanks in advance, JC312Views0likes3CommentsBusuu Subscription?? What is that?
This situation reflects very poorly on TELUS and its billing/security systems. I was charged for Busuu/Google Play services on my TELUS bill even though I have never downloaded the app, never subscribed to it, and had never even heard of it before this charge appeared. I checked my Google Play account, subscriptions, installed apps, and payment history; there is absolutely no record of Busuu anywhere. What made this even more frustrating was TELUS customer service refusing to take responsibility and pushing me to contact Busuu instead, despite the charges appearing directly on my TELUS bill. If TELUS allows third-party companies to bill customers through their accounts, then TELUS should also be responsible for properly verifying and securing those charges. After looking online, I found multiple TELUS customers reporting the exact same issue involving unauthorized Google Play charges. This clearly does not look like an isolated incident and raises serious concerns about TELUS’s security and billing practices.831Views0likes1CommentAgreed to swap to Telus pre-move in with promised discount. Discount not applied.
Hi all. I made the choice to sign up for Telus internet a month before the move to my new place, and I was contacted by Telus a few days offer who offered a mobile plan that was said to be cheaper than my then current carrier Fido, due to a deal/discount my new building has with Telus. I didn't think a connection fee was mentioned either when I asked for any extra fees/costs. Cut to now and I have a bill coming soon with the 80$ connection fee and no discount--30 dollars more than my old plan. I might swap back immediately if the deal isn't honored as I don't intend on paying this much every month. I tried to submit a dispute form but I only get hit with 'We’re having trouble submitting your bill dispute at the moment. Please try again later.' :( Where do I reach out to get my promotional price back? This is not what was agreed upon. Thank you!233Views0likes4CommentsCharged against unused service
I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. I've been charged for mobility services that I never used — the line was inactive/unused, yet the charges still appeared on my bill. I've already tried contacting TELUS support but haven't had a resolution yet. Has anyone else dealt with this situation? How did you get it sorted out? Any help is truly appreciated. I just want this corrected fairly. 🙏127Views0likes1CommentOvercharged Scam from Telus
What is happening? Sometimes, when we were told to join you guys then you guys say that even if we connect our credit or debit card the pre-authorization payment will be activated and the discount of $10 will be applied but now after using the Telus network for 3-4 months, now you guys tell me that card is not accepted and we should connect our bank to activate pre-authorization payment and get that discount. This is really not happening, I have recorded everything when I switched to the Telus network. I even have recorded voice call that I was with the agent when I was joining Telus Network. This is really kind of disappointing to the new customers, in any way you guys are charging me more than the amount that you promised me to charge. If this is the case then I and my partner were already happy with Fido. Sorry to say but we feel like we are scammed by Telus. This is not done guys. We are paying $20 more again. As a working and struggling in this heavy rising prices in the country how can we pay more and more everytime than the promised charge when joining the Telus network. Please fix this, this is not done.208Views0likes1CommentTelus charged me $1000 after case closed by CCTS!
I had an overseas Telus agent upgrade 2 phones and plans that were still under contract without my knowledge or consent. After 7 months attempting to solve with Telus customer service I filed and closed CCTS complaint (I wasn’t satisfied with outcome but I just wanted it done). Unfortunately I still had 2 more phones under contract and now Telus has come back to me saying I owe $1000 even though case was closed by CCTS (yes, these were charges considered and “compensated” for in first CCTS complaint). I have reopened case with CCTS. Anybody else had this experience? Was it ever resolved? Telus is going to be coming after me forever for fraud they committed!364Views0likes4Comments
